Recycled 925 Sterling Silver
Each piece is first cast in recycled .925 sterling silver by dedicated smiths in Bali. .925 sterling silver is considered a precious metal and will always be certified with a 925 stamp on each piece. .925 Sterling Silver is naturally hypo-allergenic, and shouldn't bother even the most sensitive of ears.
18 Karat Gold Vermeil
Spoiler alert! Our pieces are actually micron plated with 2.5 microns of 24 Karat Gold (pure gold), and then flash plated with a specific 18 Karat Gold formula for the exact brilliant gold hue we were after. Finally they're sealed with an anti-tarnish coating for some extra juju. These pieces should last many many years if not ages, if taken care of properly!
Recycled Brass
We occasionally work with recycled brass when the item requires certain engineering. Brass is an incredible metal for workability and durability. It's also naturally antimicrobial and antibacterial. We always finish our brass pieces with a high quality Recycled 925 Sterling Silver or 18 Karat Gold finish and anti-tarnish coating.
10K, 14K& 18K Solid Gold
If you are purchasing a piece of fine jewelry it will be labelled with the exact Karat used for that piece. If a piece is created from melted down pieces of varying karat, we'll let you know what final grade it qualifies as. There are benefits to each grade of solid gold depending on the specific piece and intended wear! Don't be a gold discriminator!
And rest assured we ethically source all of our gold and have close relationships with our trusted Goldsmiths to ensure the utmost care is taken in both procuring and producing your forever piece.
Gemstones
Semi-Precious
Stones like Rainbow Moonstone, Black Onyx, Rose Quartz, Opals, Amethysts & Pearls fall in to the semi-precious category. We handpick each stone (yes, each stone!) to ensure you're recieving the cream of the crop. But also to ensure the trace origins of each stone is fair-trade. All stones have different properties and react differently to light & pollution. Treat you stones with care.
Precious
These are going to be your diamonds, rubies, sapphires & emeralds. We ethically source all precious stones used and provide karat weight and trace origins. You'll likely see these primarily in our fine & one-of-a-kind pieces but some may make there way in to our Gold Vermeil & Silver collections. For issues or concerns with any precious stones you've purchased from us, please reach out to use directly.
Jewelry Care
Although we believe our pieces have a high resistance level, we do of course suggest you handle with care as to prolong the life of your piece.
As mentioned, true gold vermeil if taken care of appropriately can last almost a lifetime. We suggest keeping your jewelry dry and stored in it’s original pouch for safekeeping when not worn. Also taking your jewelry off when you’re lotioning up, or spending a good amount of time out in the lake or ocean will help protect it from all of the mean chemicals and pollutants out there in our crazy world. We truly do want you to have this piece for as long as possible, and like everything its outcome will be a product of both nature & nurture.
Good To Know: Silver Tarnishing
If you opted for one of our Recycled 925 Sterling Silver Pieces, please know that it will naturally tarnish over time. This does not mean your piece is damaged! Rest assured your piece is solid sterling silver, and can be restored to all it’s glory. Along with the care options above, you can also use a polishing cloth which can be picked up at any local jewelry store (we’ll let you know when we have one!). We don’t suggest using at home chemical methods because *things can go wrong* and we don’t want that to happen for you! Please reach out to us if you’re concerned or having trouble with a piece!
Good To Know: Box Chain Twirls
Bracelet & Necklace Chains: Sometimes box chains and get a little whirly twirly if they’ve been worn a while or if you are layering with other necklaces (great idea!). Don’t panic. Simply take of your necklace and glide your fingernail down the chain gently a few times and the twirls will naturally un-whirl. Voila!
